La Jolla Day 1
Today was our first entire day on La Jolla. It was fun! When I woke up, Brady had already gone an brought back coffee :) We had no plans other than to explore for the day. We went to this little place on the coast called Sea Port Village. It is a cute little shopping place. We walked down the board walk a little ways and found a Navy ship that you can tour! It was so cool! It was the USS Midway!! It is retired and they turned it into a museum. You can see the captains quarters, all the radars and tons of restored planes.
After that Landry fell asleep in the car so we decided to drive around and see where the Chargers and Padres play. After that we went to see Torrey Pines Brady was so in awe!! It was pretty cool to be where the U.S. Open has been played. When we got back to our room and went swimming. They have this cool kid pool that Landry can swim in. Then we went to the beach. Our hotel is right on the beach so it is a few steps away!! Landry hated it! She refuses to walk in the sand and will only get on the ocean if we are holding her. It is so weird. Then we went to dinner.....
Dinner was the worst!! We went to this nice restaurant at our hotel overlooking the ocean. We were there for 10 minutes when Landry had a complete meltdown. We had to ask them to box our food before the brought it to us. It was so embarrassing!! We came back to our room and ate And then went and got ice cream. The awesome thins about La Jolla is that you can walk everywhere. It is such a neat little town!!
Sorry of this is all just a ramble but I wanted to hurry and get it all down because we want to remember all of te fun stuff we've done so far!!
